Hey, Amy here.
Whether you are a Taylor Swift fan or not, you have to admit, she definitely knows how to build an audience of raving fans (aka ‘Swifties’).
She’s literally one of the best at this on the planet... selling out stadiums for every one of her concerts in a matter of seconds.
This is because one of the things she’s GREAT at is building anticipation.
For example, her latest album was released on November 12th.
BUT, June 18th is when she first announced that it would be released on November 12th.|
Her fans were so excited and setting reminders on their calendars…
On August 5th... she teased the tracks with a letter scrambling video of songs coming out of a vault.
August 6th... she announced the tracks ending with a "pre-order now".
This was still 3 months out from the release date.
She is a master at building anticipation and getting her fans excited for her release date.
The thing is, building momentum isn't just for when you're new, starting out, or have a small audience.
It's for everyone. All the way on up to Taylor Swift (in fact, she may be THE ultimate master of it).
There's definitely something special about shared anticipation, excitement, and that "OMG IT'S FINALLY HERE" feeling… right?
It’s a great way to have your audience members thinking "I can’t wait! I gotta get my hands on this!”.
(Hint: Don’t we feel this every year about certain deals on Black Friday?)
While you don't have 5 months until Black Friday like Taylor had in this example, you DO have time to build anticipation.
By sharing a mix of emotional and informative content, you can help YOUR audience to make a buying decision *before* your offer goes live.
This is a great way to create momentum with your audience, reach your sales goals, and end this year powerfully in your business.
Black Friday is right around the corner... and there's still time to build anticipation.
