Here are 5 simple things that I have done over the last 16 years as an online marketer that have been some of the biggest contributors to the success I've had in my business.
1️⃣ In the beginning, I wasn't pretending to be an expert.
I admitted that I was a beginner and just documented my journey.
I shared things with my audience as I learned them so that anyone that was one step behind me could follow along on my coat tails.
2️⃣ I got very committed to mastering the skills that I knew were necessary for me to have to succeed as an online marketer.
This was harder to do when I got started than it is today because the resources and training weren't available online yet... so it required me to fly around the country to whatever seminars that I could find that were teaching the skills I wanted to learn.
Thankfully for you if you are just starting out, it's SO much easier now and you can learn from the comfort of your home.
3️⃣ I continued to show up and do the work in my business every day, even when I wasn't seeing any results.
I knew that I couldn't quit because I had a dream and a goal, and I knew that as long as I kept showing up, I would eventually be rewarded for my efforts.
4️⃣ I have consistently created valuable content to serve my audience.
I know that being a person of value and servant leader is the best way that I can help others and to build trust with my audience as well.
5️⃣ I constantly remind myself that, when it comes to marketing, everything is an experiment.
I don't strive for perfection... I just continuously try new things.
I give myself permission to play and experiment every day, and know that by doing this I will fail forward.
