I've been thinking about this a lot with all of the short form video platforms coming onto the scene (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, & Pinterest)- and I know a lot of people have been hesitant to get on the bandwagon.
I'm one of those people. :)
I've been marketing online for over 17 years... and I've done some strategies that have gotten me some great results in my businesses, but I've also had to adapt and change as technology changes.
We are at a point in history right now where not only is technology growing at a very fast pace, but the speed at which it's growing is also growing at an exponentially faster pace every day.
I was reading something about this recently and it's kind of crazy to think about how fast things are moving.
It sometimes feels like it can be hard to keep up, especially if you are not in a younger demographic where this stuff is just second nature.
And we definitely sometimes can become sticks in the mud when it comes to our marketing strategies. I know his is true for me...
As humans, we don't like change.
We are skeptical when new things are released.
I think that's just human nature to automatically be skeptical, especially if we've been doing something a certain way for a long time...
...but it's important for us to be adaptable and to change with the times because we have to go where the people are.
For best results, we have to put our message in front of the people on the platforms where they're actually going to see it.
We went into this more on today's mastermind.
On the last 30 minutes it got really juicy during the mastermind portion of the call... we heard from some amazing people who chimed in on this topic and it was SO valuable.
