Hey, Amy here.
As you may know by now, Wayne Dyer is one of my favorite teachers.
I'm always reading his books and I listen to his podcast all the time - another teacher with an amazing legacy, right?
I
was listening to an episode yesterday where a woman called in with a spinal chord injury and asked what to do to heal it.
Wayne suggested that focusing on the injury and being upset about it will not help it.
He
suggested, instead of praying for the injury to go away, pray:
Make me an instrument of thy well being.
In other words, 'Let me return to the well being place from which I
originated'.
He said It doesn't guarantee that you will instantly be healed completely- but it will help you to have an awareness that whatever condition your body is in is part of the perfection of life... and part of the curriculum that we are here to learn from.
I love this- because we can apply it to anything in our lives that we see as a problem or something that seems unfortunate.
We can see these 'problems' as part of our curriculum while we are here on this earth.
This helps me a lot, and it gives me a lot more peace about some of the things happening in my
life.
