Hey, Amy here. I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was nice. I had a little 'stay-cation'... I
went to take care of 3 dogs and a cat for some friends that live across town.... about 45 minutes away. Sometimes a change of scenery can do a lot of good. And that was certainly the case for me this weekend. River loves
these dogs, too... so it's fun for him as well to have some friends to run around with for a few days. Here's me with one of the dogs. His name is Gnarly... and I love him so much. Look at that face. :)
And now for the weekly recap. Spoiler alert: This is gonna look much different than most
weeks. The reason is because I was dealing with a lot of personal challenges over this past week... and I don't like to create content when my energy is off. I've never been a fan of 'faking it' or 'grinning and bearing
it'. I believe that when we are in a funk, it will come through energetically in our messaging, even if we do our best to hide it. So I honored that. Podcast Update
As you may have seen in some of last week's content, I have a podcast episode coming out about addiction and sobriety. I just celebrated 25 years of sobriety and, when I posted about it on Facebook, one of the comments I got was a bit mean... and it had me thinking a lot about this topic so I decided it was time to have a discussion about it. I started recording it this week, and as I was doing it, I realized I have more to say about it than I even realized.
So I'm not done yet... I'm about halfway there... and it should be ready this week. It was meant to be anyway, because I just received some questions today from someone who wants me to address them on the podcast. I mentioned last week that I'm happy to address any questions or topic requests... so if you have any, simply reply to this email and I'll add them
in.

I also made a video explaining exactly why you haven't heard from me as much this week. The soundtrack audio I used is silly (and may contain foul language)... but I really could relate to it. And it made me laugh so I couldn't resist, Because, as I said, sometimes I believe it's better to take a break than to push through... especially when the Universe gives you a clear sign like I got this week. It's funny, too, because I just got off of a call with a friend who had a similar week. Hers even included a power outage that lasted a couple of days. She didn't even have heat... but she had a full tank of gas so she sat in her car with the motor running and read her Kindle. She got that same message from the Universe that I got this week. :) Anyway, here's the silly video (I used some of my boating footage from Thursday).
