Hey, Amy here.
I was the host on today's Grow Rich mastermind, and I shared a story that I think about almost every day... even though it's something that happened over 21 years ago.
It's a story about something that happened during my 6 month
backpacking trip in New Zealand that changed my life forever.
And it was all because someone showed me what it looks like to be fully self-expressed and what it means to be comfortable in your own skin, even if you're not perfect.
Newsflash: Nobody's perfect.
When we show up fully, authentically, vulnerably and JOYOUSLY- we give others permission to do the same.
One woman did this for me 21 years
ago, and I've never forgotten it.
And, the truth is, we all have the ability to do that for others.
If we can just move past our fear of rejection and all of the other debilitating thoughts that hold us back, we can
inspire people in ways we can't even imagine.
That woman in New Zealand doesn't even realize how much she changed my life... so much that I'm still talking about it 21 years later.
All because she was free and
uninhibited.
I think about her when I see that I'm not allowing myself to be fully expressed- when I'm not putting myself out there fully.
And I remember the impact she made on me and I remember that I will do the same for others when I show up in that way.
Your spirit doesn't want to be confined in a way that feels abusive.
And when you allow yourself to be free, you will liberate others to do the same.
I went into more detail about this topic on this morning's call. I shared a few stories that are living proof... including the one about what happened in New Zealand.
