Hey, Amy here.
I was actually talking to my dear friend Paul the other day...
He was telling me about a promotion he did over a weekend that felt sort of forced and not quite right with where he is in his evolution and
his business these days... but he did it anyway.
And that promotion did not amount to any sales at all.
He knew it wasn't in alignment for him to do it... it didn't feel quite right when he
was doing it, but he felt like he needed to do something so that's what he did.
And then, a few days later, when he didn't have a promotion going on and he was feeling in alignment, he had sales come in, with little to no effort.
This is what I refer to as being in the flow.
If our actions are forced or not in alignment with where we are right now, even if they are actions that have produced results in the past, they won't work.
And, not only will they not work, they will not be enjoyable when we are doing them (this is a good way to know that you are not in the flow).
On one of the masterminds I was on yesterday, we were talking about how some people feel the need to only do things that are duplicatable... and
I know when I was in network marketing, that's what we are taught to do.
I will say that now I don't believe in being duplicatable.
I don't believe that anything we do that is truly authentic
could be duplicatable, because if someone tries to duplicate it, they are no longer being authentic themselves.
We have to find ways to do things that are in alignment with who we are... and that looks different for everyone.
I think it's really hard to get into the flow if you are doing something because you think you should or because it's a formula that worked for someone else, or because you see someone else doing something a certain way.
It's much easier if you do what feels right for you... what feels right in your
heart.
Success is not completely outcome based.
How we are being and how we are showing up says more about how successful we are, in my opinion.
