I did verse 70 today (out of 81) on my second time through the Tao te Ching.
I listened to the whole Tao te Ching years ago, on it's own, and found it very profound.
But shortly after this past Thanksgiving I started studying it deeply, using one of the interpretations of it, written by Wayne Dyer in his book Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life- Living the Wisdom of the Tao.
It has been totally life changing for me on so many levels.
I hosted the Grow Rich mastermind this morning and since this book is our book of the month this month in our community... I thought I'd share some of my experiences with it and some of the changes that have happened in my life since I began
studying it.
I shared my process as well... how I do my verse each day with my journal and how I've been doing it this whole time with a dear friend, and the difference it's been making for both of us.
And I shared some of the ways it has helped me in my life.
I'm actually getting ready to record a podcast episode to go into more detail about it, but I shared a few of them this morning.
For example, it has helped me:
- to accept what is in a much more graceful way than I was able
to before
- to stop trying to force things or fight things (or people) and to just practice allowing things to be as they are
- to become more patient and to trust that there's a divine order to everything
- to stop feeling the need to control anything
- to yield to
overcome- which is what we learn in my martial arts class... and it's amazing because many of the teachings in the martial art that I'm doing come from the Tao te Ching, so they are perfect companions and I love having them both in my life
- to see so many synchronicities and things that would have seemed like crazy miracles in my life... and now they just show up almost daily and I have just come to expect them.
I shared a little example of something that happened just yesterday... just to give you a better idea about the type of cool synchronicities that have been happening.
So many incredible people and situations
have presented themselves to me since I started doing this work... it's really cool.
I received a message this morning from my friend that I've been doing the verses with. It said,
"I can
plainly see how we are both being led, not on our plan, not our timing, but it's gonna be even better."
This beautifully sums up how I feel as well about what this journey has been about.
