Hey, Amy
here.
So I've been trying to get back into the swing of things here at home after our amazing freedom fest event.
It's hard to get grounded again after being so elevated for so many days in a row... and also still trying to catch up on sleep after not getting any the whole time because of all of the late
nights.
And I've been thinking back over the event a lot...and it's just been so obvious to me that almost all of the highlights for me, the most special moments of the whole event, happened in the little moments in between our daily scheduled events, or in conversations that I had with people. or in certain moments where I felt goosebumps all over my body
and tears streamed down my face, or in the moments that made me laugh uncontrollably.
And I know we all had so many special moments like these... and the cool thing is that these moments - the special moments that happened- are different for every single one of us.
We each literally had our own version of the event, and we each had our own experience and came away with our own perspective based on our unique experience and the conversations we had.
And that's the beauty of it... no two people experienced the same exact event.
And these moments that stand out... it's moments like these that matter the most in our lives, that make up our lives. It's moments like this that we live for, because they are so rich and so meaningful.
I laughed a lot at this event... more than I have
in a long time. And although I'm experiencing a lot of sadness in my life, the laughter I experienced temporarily transported me out of that sadness. I am so grateful for that.
These little moments, these are the moments that matter... these are the moments that we live for. The little conversations or moments in our lives that make us smile or laugh, or
even cry.
