Mine has been really amazing... so many good things are happening!

I led a beautiful 'found poetry' workshop yesterday which is always magical. 

There were about 12 women (myself included) and it's always nice to just put on some good music and create together. Some beautiful poems and artwork were created and we all had a blast.

I also booked my plane ticket last night for a trip that I've been wanting to take for a long time... to do some surfing and relaxing with 5 of my besties in Mexico. That's coming up in May... but you know how good it feels when the plans are finalized for a dream trip? Yes! That's what I'm feeling right now. :)

And River and I took a trip to Surf City a few days ago... a little surfing/beach town about an hour and half from where I live, but I had never been there. We went to meet a friend and had the best time. I love that town!

I posted a music video last weekend and my friend reached out to ask me how I added captions/lyrics to my video. 

What’s funny is that the captions he saw on my video were the ones that are auto-generated by Facebook. 

But I asked him if he wanted to learn how to learn how to add lyrics and captions himself and he said yes, so I figured I’d just make a video to show him in case anyone else was wondering how to do this. 

In this video, I will show you how to add lyrics to a music video using TikTok, Instagram, or Capcut. 

* Capcut is a great option for videos that you are wanting to upload to YouTube with the captions or lyrics on them, because it keeps the video in the right dimensions for YouTube. 

I will also show you how to get the lyrics to show on screen for a background audio track that you may be using on a video that’s someone else’s song. This works great for your ‘b roll’ videos if you are using a song in the background that has great lyrics that you want your audience to see. 

And everything that I will show you is also relevant if you are wanting to add captions to ANY video… it doesn’t have to be a music video!

What it Means to Be On Mission

This is one of my favorite topics and one of the things that has made the biggest difference in my business (and my life).

In my opinion, you can never go wrong when you speak from your heart rather than your head. It flows differently and lands differently and will likely have a greater impact on the people you are here to serve.

This Week's Exclusive Training

Last week, I shared how I add people to my Facebook group, and how I personalize it for each person depending on what they said they needed help with. This is a unique process that I started doing a while back that works really well to serve our audience members on a  deeper level (and I can pretty much guarantee that hardly anyone else does this, so it's a great way to over deliver for your followers).

I also worked on promoting my latest YouTube video and shared my process for that.

As I said, it will be different every week, and we have different people teaching on the other days of the week as well, so it's one of the best places I've ever seen to come and get trained over-the-shoulder by people who are getting great results with their marketing... and these marketing strategies apply to any business at all!

A Sneak Peek Into Our Community & Back Office

Last Saturday, we pulled back the curtain on one of our Saturday new member orientation sessions... so that people who are not members inside of the Home Business Academy yet could come hang out with us and see what we're all about.

It was soooooo good!

About an hour and 20 minutes in, one of our founders (my dear friend Paul) chimed in... he was on his tractor in Idaho in the snow with his headphones on. And he just started speaking from his heart to our guests.
