Hey, Amy here.
Sometimes we tell ourselves that we can't do something or begin something new until we feel ready.
We tell ourselves that we can't make a difference for others or we can't make a change, a big change, or even a small change, until
all of our ducks are in a row.
And the reality is that if you wait until you feel ready or qualified to start, you may never start, because you may never feel ready.
There's so much value you can give to the world even before you feel like you're qualified.
We have to get out
of perfection mode, and having standards for ourselves that keep us from ever feeling like we can make a difference for people.
Remember: You don't have to be a master at things in order to help others learn them.
It is so helpful for people when you just share your journey with them and just teach the things you are learning as you go.
And you don't have to be fully healed before you can help others heal. You are already whole just the way you are, and you can help people from where you are right now.
You are going to be growing until you die... it's not like we ever 'get there' when it comes to our growth. So you can help people even while you are still growing yourself.
There's a quote by Abraham Hicks that I love, it's one of my favorites. It says:
"You never get it done, and you cannot get it wrong. Life is supposed to be fun: you are a creator, you are a focusing mechanism, and you are here in an environment that is very conducive to that. When you get hold of an idea, play it out for the pleasure in it. If you are doing it for any other reason, then you are not
connecting to your Source Energy."
So good, right?
We tend to live, as humans, with a giant to do list that we tell ourselves we have to accomplish before we can allow ourselves to do what we are really wanting to do deep down... what our soul is calling us to do.
Again, as Abraham says,
you will never get it done. And you cannot get it wrong. And life is supposed to be fun.
And life is messy. And it's always going to be messy... especially if you're growing.
So have fun in the mess of it all... and stop waiting until the mess is cleaned up before you'll start anything. Because the mess will still be there long after you start
anyway.
For most of us, myself included, we have way more messy moments than we have moments of peace and tranquility and perfection and mastery.
We can have amazing results in our lives and our businesses despite our life circumstances. And we can keep having great ideas, and thinking about more ways that we can help people.
So remember that you don't have to wait until you feel ready to do the things you want to do and to have an enormous impact on the world.
Because, chances are, you will never feel ready.
