Hey, Amy here.
You probably have heard me share often about how important it is to be true to yourself, and to do what's true for you, regardless of the opinions of others.
The importance of being authentic and of living in alignment with your truth and your values, and the importance of shining as bright as you can while you are here
on earth.
So I decided to share from 2 little chapters today that did a beautiful job of speaking to this. I read them on
our call this morning.
These chapters are in The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo, a book that was given to me by my beloved father for my birthday, about
a year before he passed.
The first one I shared was from March 29th, entitled What Keeps us From Shedding. It speaks to the fact that shedding, even when it's useful and for good reason, always has a pain associated with it.
It talks about how it's hard to shed the things we no longer need, the things that no longer serve us, the things that are familiar, and we often hold on to things that don't serve us in order
to accommodate the people we love and to make them feel more comfortable.
The next one, on March 30th is called the Energy of Being Real. It touches on how Carl Jung spoke about how the energy of being real has more power than persuasion, debate, or force of will.
And it speaks to how important it is for each of us to fully shine our light like the sun and how it helps others to know that it's okay for them to
shine theirs when we do this.
