I’m celebrating my two year anniversary at my boxing gym this week.
I was talking to my coach
yesterday about it, and he was speaking life into me like he always does, and telling me how far I’ve come.
I told him it’s only because I finally decided to start being coachable (and because he's seriously the best coach ever).
Back in high school, I was a competitive gymnast, and I wasn’t coachable at all. I didn’t listen to my coach, and I would fight with her.
We were state champs, but i definitely wasn't because of me. I didn't apply myself as much as I could have. I thought I knew it all.
And when I got started in my first home-based business, I still wasn’t coachable.
My mentor at the time pointed out to me that I would likely never really succeed unless I was willing to listen and be coached.
And that’s when everything
changed.
I had to be humble, and I had to be coachable... and, once I was willing to do that, I started to succeed.
When we think that we already know all there is to know about anything, there is no room for growth.
And we can’t possibly coach ourselves to success as quickly as somebody that has gone before us can get us there.
We also have to
be willing to put in the work.
We have to be willing to show up every day, and to practice over and over again even on the days when we don’t want to.
We have to keep learning, keep implementing, keep practicing, and keep taking action.
And if we are willing to be coachable, keep showing up, and keep practicing, our success is literally inevitable… as long as we don’t give
up.
And not only is our success inevitable, but eventually we get to a place where we are able to help others along their way as well.
And this is where our true purpose is found.
You never know, I may just answer your question in my next YouTube video or podcast episode. :)
And mainly, I just wanted to remind you to never give up on your dreams.
Keep going. You got this. I believe in you. I love you.
