Last night I received some shocking news...
A woman who I adore has passed away, suddenly from cardiac arrest.
She was younger than me, and has a husband and 2 young daughters.
This
hit home on so many levels.
It's a good reminder that life is fragile and we just never know when our time is going to be up here on earth.
It also brought up the feeling I had when I found out my mom had been killed in a car accident. I was 18 at the time and she was 43. She was young and vibrant and so full of life... and she also had 2 somewhat young children and a husband
(my sweet dad).
I was not expecting that, at all. Nobody was. It shook us all to our core.
And whether it's someone you were really close to in your life (like your mom), or someone you knew online...
...the nudge from the Universe saying, "Make your life matter, now." rings the same.
What's crazy about the news I received last night is that I didn't know her personally, but I feel like I did... because I've been listening to her podcast for many years.
She felt like a personal friend of mine.
It's funny how that happens... how we take someone along with us throughout our day and listen to them speak through our earbuds... and, over time, they begin
to feel like a close friend.
I know you've heard me (and many others) say this a million times... that having a podcast is one of the most intimate forms of marketing because people can hang out with you while they're driving or working out or doing laundry.
But the way I'm feeling right now as I'm still processing this loss is a huge reminder about how true this is.
I am on her email list, too... and, because I'm a loyal subscriber, I was also invited to the wake and the funeral.
It's amazing when you think about it... how we can build such strong connections with people online that they end up feeling like family. Even when we've never actually spoken to them one on one.
Anyway, the whole podcast conversation is definitely top of mind for me right now as well, because I'm hosting a free training tomorrow night, all about the power of having your own private podcast to built your list, serve your audience, and generate sales in your business.
If you've ever considered the idea of having a podcast but were turned off by the amount of endless work it would take, I think you might be surprised by what I am going to show you tomorrow.
If you're curious, you can register here (it's free and
there's nothing to lose by hanging out with us).
And you will definitely learn how you can make a greater difference for people and help them get to know you on a deeper level by using this strategy.
I hope to see you there and, as always, just let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you. You can just reply to this email and I'll get right back to you.
Have a beautiful day and make it matter... remember, there's no time like the present to make an impact for others while you're here.
I love you,
Amy
