here. I hope you are having a beautiful weekend! Mine has been amazing. I just finished it up with a bluegrass concert that I rode my bike to with a friend. So fun. #beachlife
I had a great trip to Florida last week, and now I'm getting ready to head to the mountains for a week. And I also celebrated my birthday a few days ago... which literally had me in a puddle of gratitude tears all day. I am so fortunate to have so many incredible people in my life... and the lengths that they went to that day to make me feel recognized kinda blew me away. Plus I just feel really grateful that I
have lived this long (57 years, baby!).
Every year on my birthday, I go for a swim in the ocean (usually my first swim of the season in the North Carolina sea, as the water is still pretty cold). And, while I stand in the waves, I look out at the horizon and talk to God for a few minutes, mostly to just say thank you for another year and for all of the blessings (and lessons that help me to grow) that I've been given in my life.
This was right after I got out of the ocean...
feeling so refreshed, like a new person.
As I said, I had an absolutely wonderful trip to Siesta Key, Florida. And I'm leaving again in a few days to head to the mountains of western North Carolina (Asheville area) for 8 days.
I'll be meeting with my realtor there to look at some properties as I try to determine where my next home will be.
As I mentioned in one of
my previous emails, I started a 'Digital Nomad' playlist on YouTube for anyone that wants an inside peek at some of the paces I'm considering.
I have one video up so far, that one is mostly about the residual income that has afforded me this digital nomad life in the first place.
And my Siesta Key tour video will be up
later this week. I'm not really considering Florida as a place to live, but I figured I'd share some footage of Siesta Key for anyone that is considering visiting or moving there.
And this week I will start shooting the footage for my the mountain towns that I'll be visiting. Feel free to follow along with me on my journey... and I'm also open to recommendations for great places to live if you have any. :)

The other thing that happened in Siesta Key is that we finished the edits on our upcoming book! This has been a long time coming and we are so excited about it. The book has gone off for cover design now and then it's off to publishing. You can jump on the waitlist here if you want to be one of the first to know once it's released.

When I walked through the door at my brother’s condo in Siesta Key, Florida last week, I burst into tears, tears of gratitude.
I was feeling so grateful to be able to stay in that beautiful ocean front condo, and for the incredible week ahead I was about to have with one of my best
friends.
More than that, I was (and am) so grateful for the laptop lifestyle I have been able to create for myself that allows me to move about the planet as I choose.
I’m ridiculously grateful for the residual income that continues to come in, month after month, whether I work or not. And I’m so grateful that I am able to travel around and enjoy the digital nomad lifestyle at this stage of my life.
Being totally location independent is a gift and it’s
something that we all have the ability to create for ourselves if we want it. This is why I will never stop talking about freedom and why I stay committed to helping others to attain residual income in their lives as well.
When I first decided I wanted this freedom lifestyle, I was a single mom with 2 small children (3 years old and 3 weeks old). I knew nothing about online marketing, I just knew that I was going to figure it out and make it work, no matter what.
And
now, nearly 2 decades later, I am still experiencing the benefits of that decision. And I’m more committed than ever to showing others how to do the same.
In this video, I just wanted to share my thoughts about residual income, affiliate marketing (and some other ways that you can earn a good living from a laptop), and the beauty of life as a location independent digital nomad.
