I have something very unique (and very exciting) that I want to share with you.
But first, let me ask you this...

For example, this is actually exactly what happened to me when I was learning to surf.
I had taken lessons from several different instructors, in New Zealand, Hawaii, and California.
And, although each one taught me a lot about technique, I still felt paralyzed by fear when it came to going out and surfing on my own, without the instructor.
I didn't even realize why this was (I didn't know what I didn't know), until I found a teacher who shifted everything for me.
When I was getting ready to move to North Carolina, I found out that there was a world champion surfer who lives on the island we were moving to, and that he offered one on one lessons. I made it a priority to get a lesson with him as soon as we got here.
The instruction I received from him changed my life.
Although he did teach some technique like the other instructors I had in the past, it wasn't his main focus.
He spent the majority of the lesson teaching me when to surf, where to surf, how to locate the sand bars (and why that matters), how to read the ocean, how waves come in sets of 3, which shoulder to look over, how to find the crest of the wave, and much more.
See, I KNEW I needed to learn technique, but I had no idea that there were all of these other things I needed to know... they were all blind spots for me.
And, once I learned those things, everything changed for me.
I literally found myself checking the tide clock the next morning to see when the prime surfing window would be (something I didn't even know I was supposed to do before that lesson), and then I headed to the beach on my own, paddled out, and went surfing on my own.
I found the right mentor, and his instruction changed the game for me. I moved from being paralyzed by fear to knowing exactly what to do, when to do it and how to do it.
My point? The right mentoring changes EVERYTHING.
