We made it through the hurricane- and a new podcast episode :)

Hey there, it's Amy....


I'm just coming off of a crazy week preparing for Hurricane Mathew, and then a couple of days of being cooped up inside weathering the storm.

It was the first big east coast hurricane for me and my girls (we just moved to the beach in North Carolina from Boulder over the summer), so it was quite the adventure for us.

We filled a bunch of sandbags and stocked up on water and propane and food... and we made it through just fine.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, and we went out onto the beach to collect some awesome treasures that the storm brought in, and we are just feeling really grateful.

Sometimes it's good to have some contrast to put things in perspective. :)
