Hey, Amy here.
I hope your weekend is going well so far.
Mine's good... today was a beauitiful day full of some beach time and some basketball... and I'm cooking up a pot of bone broth in preparation for a cleanse I'm about to start on Monday (my house smells sooooo good). :)
Here's a pic from the beach last night. The sky was amazing.
Here's a fun story for you...
Last week, I posted a video on TikTok that now, one week later has 113,100 views and 12,200 likes and 88 comments (at the time of writing this email).
What’s funny is that this video was something I didn’t really put any thought into.
I volunteer at my daughter’s school store on Fridays, and I had only sold $1 worth of stuff that day, so I decided to make a TikTok… mostly because I was bored.
I made a quick video (TikTok videos are typically 15 seconds long), posted it, and didn’t think much of it.
But, by the time I got home, there were already thousands of views and hundreds of likes on my video.
From there, the views and likes and comments kept growing so fast.
The next day I went bowling with my daughter’s basketball team and the kids (and parents) were coming up to me talking about the video. They had all seen it and one of the kids was telling me that it had already been shared 40+ times, that many of her friends had shared it on their stories.
The funny thing is, I’m really not sure why that video went viral. It was nothing special, in my opinion.
And now, a week later, it’s still getting lots of views and likes and comments.
It’s been a fun experience to watch it happen… and I’ve learned a lot from it, too.
I've had a lot of great reminders (and awesome marketing lessons) that have been brought to the surface thanks to this video.
One of them is that you never really know who's watching and paying attention to your stuff.
That became apparent to me when the kids (and moms!) were coming up to me at the bowling alley last weekend telling me they saw my video. And it reminded me of some other experiences I've had with people watching without me being aware of it... which I talked about in this video.
I actually wrote a blog post to go along with the video, too... where I list out for you the 5 lessons I learned from my viral TikTok video.
You can head over to my blog for the post and video.
**It will also be available as a podcast episode soon as well, so if you subscribe to my podcast you will it see it there on Monday.
After you read/watch I'd love to hear from you. Leave me a comment on the blog and let me know if you've ever experiences any of these lessons in your business.
I love you and I'll talk to ya soon,
Amy
