Sorry I've been out of touch...

We lost power during Hurricane Isaias (it made landfall here on our island) and just got our internet back a little bit ago. I lost phone service, too.

Anyway, we are fine. It was an intense storm for sure... the whole house was moving, we felt like we were on a roller coaster.

Ava and I camped out on the couch together for the night and she serenaded me on her ukulele, which was awesome. We also played board games, and had a really good long conversation about life which was nice. I didn’t sleep much, so I was tired yesterday and had/have a lot of cleanup to do... but overall, we are good!

Here's a photo from the beach the night we got hit, just a few hours before the storm touched down... it was raining and we were soaked by the time we got home. :)

Luckily, we got our internet back on time for tonight's Power Hour!

Tonight is going to be a very special one... I'm super excited about it and here's why.

In the beginning of our Monday night mastermind every week while people are logging on, there's always an upbeat song playing. This week it was Jack Johnson's 'Where did all the good people go?'

When co founder Paul Hutchings kicked off the call he made a remark about how he can actually answer that question now... that the good people are hanging out in The Home Business Academy (HBA).

The thing is, it's actually true.

Because of the vision and the mission of the HBA, this community and business model attracts the most incredible people.

Just to give you an idea, here are just a few of the things that happened inside of the HBA in July:

- We gathered 336 new customers in July.

- 151 affiliates earned a commission with the HBA in July.

- We hit another new payout record of 100 affiliates getting paid in one day on our last Friday payout. (This number has been growing consistently every week).

- As a natural by product of our growth, we were able to up the amount of meals provided to our community charity by a HUGE number last month. In July we surpassed a BIG milestone crossing the 100,000 meals mark - reaching a total of 101,828 from which is up from 93,453 last month. (** a portion of all sales in the Home Business Academy go to Feed My Starving Children).

I actually cried when I learned this... I'm just so proud to be a part of everything we are up to here.

This is just a small snapshot of the results achieved in July...

But the MOST exciting thing about the HBA is the vision, the leadership, the heart, and the soul of this community.

It's because of these things that we attract the most amazing people and it's because of this that the HBA is growing so quickly and that it is what it is today.
