If you've been following me for some time, you probably know that I'm a big believer in documenting your journey... in other words, sharing your progress along the way, publicly, with your audience.
This is a great thing to do regardless of what niche you're in.
For example, if you're in the weight loss niche, you can document your own weight loss journey- your exercise programs, what you eat on a daily basis, etc.
If you are in the online marketing niche, you can document your progress as you learn and implement new marketing strategies.
You can share your wins along the way, and the hurdles that come up that you have to overcome.
There are many reasons why I love to do this:
1- It's inspiring for people to watch and follow along with your progress
2- It allows people to get to know you and relate to you on a deeper level
3- It shows people what's possible- that if you can do it, so can they
4- It's fun and inspiring to look back on when you are light years ahead of where you are at the time you are documenting it
5- It gives your audience the opportunity to follow along on your coat tails
6- It's a great way to celebrate your wins (even the small milestones) as you move along your path (*hint: celebrating your wins is a huge piece of the puzzle when it comes to success).
This process is something I've done since I started marketing online. It's one of my favorite ways to help people (for all of the reasons I just stated above). :)
So today I want to celebrate another small win with you!
A few months ago, I set some goals for myself in regard to my YouTube channel.
At the time, my channel had approx 600 subscribers
And, just by being consistent and posting at least 1 video per week since then, it's been steadily growing- and I'm getting more engagement consistently over time as well.
YouTube sends out a little update each month to show you how your channel is doing...
Here are my stats for July:
