Happy Father's Day!

I just got back last night from my trip
to Ireland.

I'm still jet lagged and have a lot going on
today with my kids...

But I just wanted to tell you what happened
to me last night...

(I'm gonna get to that in just a second).

So, I just got back from traveling around
Ireland with my Dad and my brother.

My dad has always wanted to go to Ireland...
it's his 'dream vacation' and thanks to this
business I was able to treat him to this
amazing trip for his 70th birthday.  Yay!

Well, it turned out to be my dream
vacation as well... it's a magical place and
there wasn't a minute that went by that I wasn't
awe of my life and the fact that I got to go there
with my Dad.

Because just over a year ago I was
barely able to pay my bills...

And now just 1 year later I was able to travel
around Ireland first class...

...Staying at fancy Bed and Breakfasts and hotels

...Eating amazing dinners at fancy restaurants

..and just really able to treat my dad to the time
of his life.

It felt really good. :)

Now back to what happened last
night...

So we arrived back in Denver last night,
got in my car and drove to Boulder where
I live (my dad and brother had left their
cars at my house while we were away).

On the way back to my house, we stopped
to eat dinner at a local restaurant and we
were recapping some things that happened
on the trip.

Then, my dad said (I'm starting to cry again
as I write this),

"I just want to thank you so much again for
the  trip to Ireland. I had a great time.

Whatever you were wanting to give me, I
got that, and so much more. It was beyond
anything I could have imagined or hoped for.

The whole trip for me was about love. I was
welling up with tears most of the time we
were there because I felt so much love.
The people, the music, all of it.

And that's in me now forever (he put his hand
on his heart). It's part of who I am now."

I had tears rolling down my face as he was
talking and they really haven't stopped.

I'm so moved by the fact that I was able to
play a part in providing such a life-changing
experience for my father.

I will never be the same either.

I am SO grateful for the Empower Network
